Your Forum is concerned that the Clifton Enterprise Zone applicant added 13 new documents to the planning portal on the 9th February, just two days before the closing date for comments.
 
Strong representations have been made to Calderdale Council; your Forum has also raised this issue with Councillor Howard Blagbrough and our MP, Craig Whittaker.
 
Cllr Blagbrough raised the issue with Cllr Scullion (portfolio holder) in Calderdale’s 10 Feb council meeting.
 
Clearly, it is unacceptable to make amendments to proposals after the start of the formal consultation, irrespective of the reasons for doing so. We are calling on the council to start a proper consultation again.
 
We note that some of the amendments are highly technical documents, and it will take a short while for your forum to comment further.
 
If you have already commented on the proposals, you may wish to raise this issue directly with Calderdale Council.
