Calderdale invites comments on Clifton Enterprise Zone application

Calderdale Council recently published the planning application for the proposed Clifton Enterprise Zone and is now inviting comments on the application.

The consultation is open until 11:55 pm on  Wednesday, 10th February.

The planning committee will want to hear your views, and local knowledge,  about any positive/negative impacts the proposals may have on the area. You don’t need to be a planning expert to comment, but it’s always helpful to the planning committee to provide facts/evidence to support your comments.

If you would like to comment on the application, you will need to register on Calderdale’s planning portal first – but once registered, you can track progress and receive updates on the application.

Remember that outline planning permission has already been granted and the principle of a business park accepted. Comments now should relate specifically to the detailed design.

Comments which simply object to or support the development are likely to be disregarded.

Funding for the project is still not guaranteed and it’s possible that the council may not be able to fund this development but, regardless, this is probably the only opportunity for local residents to influence what the business park would actually look like.
